Subscriber Reminders
Subscord automatically handles subscription renewal reminders for your customers, helping to reduce churn and ensure continued access to your Discord roles and services.
How Reminder System Works
Timing
Subscord sends renewal reminders at two key moments:
- 3 Days Before Expiration: Subscribers receive an advance warning that their subscription will expire in 3 days, giving them time to plan for renewal.
- At Expiration: When the subscription actually expires, customers receive another notification confirming the expiration and prompting immediate renewal.
Delivery Methods
Reminders are sent through the following channels:
- Email: Notifications are sent to the email address associated with the subscriber's Discord account.
- Discord Direct Message: If the customer has enabled "Allow messages from server members" in their Discord privacy settings, they will also receive a DM from the Subscord bot.
Note: The Discord DM delivery depends on the recipient's privacy settings and cannot be guaranteed for all users.
Reminder Content
Each reminder notification includes:
- Information about which subscription is expiring
- The exact expiration date
- A direct link to the subscriber's Account page where they can easily renew their subscription
- Clear instructions on how to complete the renewal process
Future Enhancements
While the current system operates on a fixed 3-day reminder schedule, Subscord has plans to introduce configurable reminder settings in the future. This will allow sellers to:
- Customize how far in advance reminders are sent
- Set multiple reminder intervals (e.g., 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before expiration)
- Choose different reminder frequencies based on subscription type or duration
This feature is currently under development and will provide greater flexibility for managing customer communication.
