Discounts
The Subscord dashboard includes a dedicated "Discounts" page where you can create and manage promotional codes for your store. These discounts are highly customizable, allowing you to tailor them to specific customers, products, payment methods, and time periods.
Creating a Discount
When creating a new discount, you can configure the following settings:
Required Fields

Name: This is the actual discount code that customers will need to enter during checkout. Choose something memorable and relevant to your promotion (e.g., "WELCOME10", "SUMMER2024", "VIP50").

Amount: Define the discount value, which can be either:
- A fixed dollar amount in USD (e.g., $5.00 off)
- A percentage off the total (e.g., 15% off)
Optional Configuration Fields
All the following fields are optional. If left blank, they will default to the most permissive settings:

Use Limit: Set a maximum number of times this discount code can be used across all customers. If not specified, the discount will have unlimited uses.

Min Spend: Define a minimum purchase amount required for the discount to be valid. For example, setting this to $10 means the discount will only apply to purchases of $10 or more.

Max Spend: Set a maximum purchase amount for the discount to be valid. This can be useful for limiting discounts to lower-priced items only.

Members: Restrict the discount to specific Discord members by selecting them from your server's member list. Only the selected members will be able to use this discount code. If no members are selected, the discount will be available to everyone.

Required Role: Only allow users who already have a specific role in your Discord server to use this discount. This is perfect for rewarding existing customers, OG community members, or users with special status. If no role is selected, the discount will be available to all users regardless of their roles.

Products: Choose which specific products this discount applies to. If no products are selected, the discount will be valid for all products in your store.

Product Options: When you've selected specific products above, you can further restrict the discount to only certain product options within those products (e.g., only the monthly subscription option, not the yearly option).

Start Date: Set a specific date and time when the discount becomes active. If not set, the discount will be available immediately upon creation.

Expire Date: Define when the discount code should expire and no longer be usable. If not set, the discount will remain active indefinitely.

Payment Method: Restrict the discount to specific payment methods (e.g., only for cryptocurrency payments or only for Stripe payments). If no payment methods are selected, the discount will be valid for all available payment methods.
Discount Management
Once created, you can view, edit, or delete your discounts from the discounts dashboard. This allows you to:
- Monitor how many times each discount has been used
- Modify existing discounts (useful for extending expiry dates or changing use limits)
- Deactivate discounts that are no longer needed
- Create seasonal or event-specific promotional campaigns
The flexible nature of Subscord's discount system enables you to create targeted promotions that align with your marketing strategy and community engagement goals.
